Mental health problems are rampant and this month the EBBTC is supporting the movement to advocate for mental health and spread awareness of mental illness and suicide among men.

Mental health issues that go unresolved and untreated carry a higher risk of suicide, especially among men. The Movember Foundation mentions a number of factors that have been linked to an increased risk of suicide among man, including:

  • Previous family or personal history of mental illness
  • Harmful drug and alcohol use
  • Isolation or loneliness
  • Ongoing stressful life situations such as unemployment, relationship difficulties or chronic health issues

If you or someone you know is struggling with mental issues, reach out and get help now.
